Alvin Gary McKinney passed away November 10, 2015 at his home in Dallas, Texas. Alvin graduated in 1972 from Roosevelt high School (Gary, IN). He went on to serve 8 years in the U.S. Navy. He served aboard the US Nimitz and the US Navy Independence. Alvin was a management employee for AT & T for 34 years. He leaves to cherish 1 daughter Ayonna McKinney, 1 grandson Flint Powell Jr. 1 sister Shirley McKinney of Wisconsin; 3 brothers Louis(Gloria) McKinney, Larry McKinney both of Merrillville, IN and Derrian (Lisa) McKinney of Crown Point, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends who were dear to him.
