Calvin D. Jones, who died on August 5, 2013 at Methodist Hospital Northlake, was born to the late Yance and Fannie L. Jones, March 15, 1953 in Gary, Indiana. He graduated from Gary Roosevelt High School in 1971, and attended Culver-Stockton Collge, in Missouri. Calvin was a scheduler at ArcelorMittal Steel in East Chicago, Indiana, and retired in 2012, after 39 years of service.

He leaves to mourn his passing, devoted wife, Linda Jones, of Gary; 2 sons, Calvin D. Jones, Jr., of The Dominican Republic and Derrick Jones, of Gary; two sisters, Ethel M. Ware, of Tucson, Arizona and Christine (Carl) Lacy of Gary’ brother, Yance Jones, Jr.; aunts, Cornelia Parker and Malissa Jackson, all of Gary; special grandson, Leonard Barnes; two nephews, Lawrence P. Simmons of Tucson, Arizona and Rodney Jones of Indianapolis and niece, Robin Bridgeman James, also of Indianapolis.

Visitation Monday, August 12, 2013 at Fresh Oil Ministries, 1365 Taft Street, Gary from 10-11 A.M. with funeral services immediately thereafter, Minister Damen Bennett, officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
